Sydney Somerfield- Artistic Director/Board Member

Sydney is an Oregon native from Corvallis and has a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Oregon. She has performed on stage and on film in Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles. She is a licensed massage therapist and is currently in a certification program to become a Feldenkrais practitioner.

In 2008, she helped found Willamette Shakespeare with her husband, Daniel and their friend, David Baer. She played Rosalind in Willamette Shakespeare’s inaugural performance of As You Like It. In 2010, she assistant directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream, coaching the actors in movement and clowning. She will return as assistant director for All’s Well That Ends Well this year.
